Neighbourhood Spotlight: Leslieville

Welcome to Leslieville: One of the edgiest, most walkable, family friendly neighbourhoods in the City! Close to the action of downtown but set just far enough away.

What We Love:

1. Great restaurants – Leslieville has some of the top rated restaurants in the city with great service, quality ingredients and a huge selection of tastes. Some of our favourites include The Ceili Cottage, East Side Social & Queen Margherita Pizza.
2. Eclectic shops – While there are big box options, one of the best things about Leslieville is the locally owned stores & services neighbours are fiercely loyal to. Check out vintage clothing at Gadabout Vintage, pick up some baked goods at It’s the Icing on the Cake or make your dog’s outfit the talk of the town at Timmie Doggie Outfitters.
3. Proximity to the Beach – Most homes within Leslieville are within a 30 minute walk or 10 minute drive to Woodbine Beach making a leisurely after dinner stroll or weekend afternoon on the boardwalk an easy reality.
4. Friendly vibe – store owners, servers and neighbours all seem to be friendly in Leslieville. No wonder since they are in apart of one of the city’s best hoods!
5. Housing Variety – In Leslieville there is a variety of housing options, for all budgets and styles. Cute Victorian towns are adjacent to spacious detached homes, all down the road from hard lofts converted from 19^th century buildings.

What We Don’t:

1. The Queen streetcar can sometimes be a bit slow or delayed into the core. Your easy 15-minute commute can sometimes turn into 30.
2. Heavy traffic. Yes, after all Leslieville is located in Toronto! Getting north means more often than not being stuck on the DVP. At least it is a scenic drive!
